HOW TO GET THE TRAIN FROM CDG TO DISNEYLAND PARIS

You have two options of getting the train to Disneyland Paris:

Option 1 – by TGV Train

The TGV (High speed train) is the quickest way of getting to Disneyland Paris. With a journey time of 10-12 minutes into the Marne La Vallee/Chessy Station. This is the station for Disneyland Paris which is a few minutes walk away from the parks so you can be saying Hi to Mickey and friends in no time.

TGV Transfer to Disneyland Paris

While there are regular trains throughout the day there are fewer trains in the evenings. Also weekends and public holidays, frequencies of trains can vary so check the schedule before you go.

Can you book tickets for the TGV?

Yes you can book tickets in advance on trainline and secure the best prices however I advise against this. When making a reservation you are booked onto a specific train so it’s hard to choose one in advance due to the time it can take to get through passport control and collect luggage. Plus you also need to factor in for possible flight delays.

Therefore I recommend buying tickets for the next available train once you land and have collected your luggage. Of course for the return journey this can be booked in advance. Prices can vary depending on when you are booking your tickets but can vary from €20-€37 per person each way.

How to get the TGV train from CDG?

The Rail Station at CDG is located in Terminal 2. Depending on which terminal you are arriving at you might need to hop onto a free bus or CDGVAL train or walk between terminals to get to the station.

This is well signposted and you just need to follow directions to the TGV Station. You will need to purchase your tickets from the machines. There is an option to change the language to English.

Select your destination as Marne La Vallee/Chessy Station (this is the station for Disneyland Paris) and then board the train you have reserved.

Marne La Vallee/Chessy is the first stop and you’re only on the train for 10-12 minutes. From here you can either head straight to the parks (it is only a few minutes walk) or transfer to your Hotel.

Option 2 – by RER Train

While the journey by RER is normally cheaper than the TGV it is a much longer journey and requires a change of train. Reservations are not required for this commuter service as trains run frequently.

Taking over an hour to get to Disneyland Paris you would need to get the RER Line B from the airport to Chatelet Les Halles and change onto RER Line A to Marne La Vallee/Chessy.

There is only one RER Line (B) leaving from the airport. Just head towards the sign indicating trains to Paris. Once at Chatelet Les Halles change onto RER Line A. Marne La Vallee/Chessy should have Mickey Ears next to it so you know you’re heading in the right direction.

With tickets costing around €15 per adult, child tickets are discounted. This is the cheapest transfer from Charles De Gaulle. However I would only really recommend this route if the TGV is not available and you are trying to keep to a budget and do not want to spend the extra money on an alternative transfer as this is not the most convenient journey.

HOW TO GET TO DISNEYLAND PARIS FROM CDG BY MAGICAL SHUTTLE

Magical Shuttle is a transfer on a big red and yellow air conditioned bus/coach from CDG to Disneyland Paris operating 7 days a week between 9am and 7pm.

With drop offs at all of the Disney Hotels apart from the Davy Crockett Ranch plus the Disney partner Hotels this is a convenient alternative for anyone not wanting to use the train. Journey time is approximately 1 hour depending on traffic and multi Hotel drop offs.

Magical Shuttle is a great way of travelling from the airport direct to your Hotel with a regular schedule and reasonable prices. However if there is a group of you travelling then it might be cheaper to get a private transfer.

HOW TO GET TO DISNEYLAND PARIS FROM CDG BY PRIVATE TRANSFER

Taking a private transfer to Disneyland Paris. is the most hassle free way of travelling from the airport. Journey time is approximately 45 minutes depending on what time of day you are arriving.

After collecting your luggage you will be met by your driver in the arrivals hall and taken to your private car and driven straight to your Hotel. Car seats can be booked for children & some companies even put on Disney films for the kids too.

Private Car Transfer from Charles De Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris

While this is usually the most expensive transfer option from the airport it is by far the easiest. With reservations made before you leave home you have the peace and mind of landing and not having to worry about purchasing tickets or trying to locate or arrange your onward transfer.

Cost is approximately upwards of €85 depending on the size of the vehicle and number of passengers but again if there are a few of you travelling it could work out less costly than the train or Magical Shuttle.

Some companies that come recommended are:

TAKING A TAXI TO DISNEYLAND PARIS FROM CDG

Taxis are available from the airport. Just follow the Taxi signs once you have collected your luggage and are in the Terminal then join the line and hop into the next available taxi. Queues can be lengthy at busier times. Beware of drivers coming up to you offering you a ride and just use the registered taxis instead.

Parisien Taxi Transfer in a busy Paris street

The cost of a taxi is similar to a private transfer so for this reason you might just as well prebook the private transfer and save yourself time by not queuing.

HOW TO GET AN UBER/BOLT TO DISNEYLAND PARIS

Another option is Uber or Bolt where you book your car on their app. Unlike the Parisien Taxis Uber and Bolt are not allowed in the official airport taxi ranks so a pick up location would need to be arranged.

Sometimes this can be a little confusing trying to find the location plus we found that some of the Uber drivers have limited English so if you are having trouble finding them it can be a bit tricky trying to communicate unless your French is tres bon.

Uber/Bolt normally come in cheaper than a taxi and cost depends on demand. Another benefit over a taxi is that you are able to see the price on the app before you confirm your transfer.

TO SUM UP HOW TO GET TO DISNEYLAND PARIS FROM CHARLES DE GAULLE AIRPORT

To sum up the best transfers to get from Charles De Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris, if your flights line up with the TGV train times then I would recommend you opt for this transfer to Disney as it is the fastest.

If there are just a couple of you travelling then the Magical Shuttle is a good choice plus it drops you off direct at your Hotel.

If you are looking for comfort and convenience then a private transfer is the way to go.

Whether you’re pre-booking or arranging your transfer upon arrival, it’s a good idea to decide in advance which option you’ll use—this way, you’ll have a sense of the cost and know exactly where to go.

I hope this guide makes your journey from Charles De Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris a smooth one.
