Taking A Bus From London To Disneyland Paris: Full Review
Did you know you can get a bus directly from London to Disneyland Paris? We actually did this one way on our most recent trip to Disneyland Paris. We booked the trip very late, 3-4 weeks before so there were no early booking prices or deals on offer.
I managed to get a reasonable price for the Eurostar from London to Disneyland Paris via Lille, however the return journey was going to cost us £200 each and for four of us there was no way I was going to pay £800 for a single journey so I had to look for alternative ways of getting back or cancel plans for this trip altogether.

Driving wasn’t an option, flights – while they were not as expensive as the Eurostar I did have to factor in the cost of getting to and from the airport both ends, booking seats together and checking in luggage (we can never get the hang of packing light) so costs were mounting again.
Then I googled Is there a bus from London to Disneyland Paris and bingo I had an answer and a much more reasonable cost for our return journey – Great our trip to Disneyland Paris was back on!

The journey is with FlixBus. Although it’s technically a bus service, it offers a travel experience more similar to that of a coach.
Let me tell you more about the bus journey between London and Disneyland Paris below!
💷How Much Did The Flixbus Journey Cost From Disneyland Paris to London?
We paid £65 each which compared to the Eurostar price I was quoted was a massive saving. If you’re able to book several months in advance, I’ve seen fares as low as £25.99 per person (one way) – a fantastic deal for getting to Disneyland Paris. Of course like any other form of transport prices do fluctuate due to demand but booking early secures the best prices.
💺You Can Choose Your Seats
Just like booking with an airline you can choose your seats too. There is a small fee for this. If you are wanting the very front seats with full panoramic view then these cost £3.99 each. For the next three rows they are from £2.19 each and then all the other seats behind are £1.99.

Of course if you didn’t want to pre-book seats then you don’t have to and you will be allocated a seat with nothing extra to pay.
🧳How Much Does It Cost To Take Luggage On The Bus?
The good news is there is no charge for luggage. You are allowed 1 carry-on bag and 1 piece of luggage 20kg (80x50x30cm) in the price of your ticket – although this isn’t weighed so I’m not sure how strict this is.
All the more reason to buy those extra Disney Souvenirs! Luggage is stowed in the compartment underneath the coach. If you need to bring additional bags, these can be added for £5.49 each.
🖥️What Is The Booking Process Like?
The booking process was very straightforward. Once you have found your journey then pop in the names of everyone travelling. Just be sure names match your passport. For children under 15 then the date of birth is required.
Choose your seats and put in payment details and hit the book button. An email confirmation is sent straight away – this is also your ticket as it has the QR Code that you show the driver.
🚏Where Do You Get Picked Up & Dropped Off From?
The Drop Off/Pick Up Point in London is London Victoria Coach Station around a 5 minute walk from London Victoria Train Station. The Disneyland Paris pick up/drop off point is Chesssy Sud. (Click here for map).

This is the bus stop near Marne-la Vallée/Chessy Train Station near the entrance to Disney Village (Five Guys End). From here you are only a few minutes walk away from the Disney Parks.
⬆️Is It A Direct Service?
Yes, it’s a direct bus service between London and Disneyland Paris, meaning there’s no need to change buses. However, the bus does make a stop near Paris to pick up or drop off passengers
🎫When Do You Need To Check In?
After collecting our luggage from the Marne-la Vallée/Chessy Train Station we stored this there while we spent the day in the Disney Parks. We arrived at the Bus Stop 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time which was lucky as the bus was early and arrived five minutes later.
Two drivers were on board, checking e-tickets and passports. Our luggage was loaded into the compartment under the coach, and we quickly found our seats before setting off.
I was surprised to see that, apart from our family, only two other passengers boarded at this stop. I had expected more families to be using the service.
⏰How Long Is The Journey?
Although the journey takes around 10 hours, it doesn’t feel that long as it’s broken up into stages. The bus departs from Disneyland Paris at 9:15 pm, with an initial drive of about three and a half to four hours to Calais, including a stop in Paris to pick up a bus load of passengers.
At the ferry port, everyone disembarks for passport control, which is a nice chance to stretch your legs. Once immigration is complete, passengers re-board the bus and wait in the ferry queue. We did have to wait a while for the incoming ferry to dock and unload before boarding begins.

During the 1.5-hour ferry crossing from Calais to Dover, passengers can get off the bus and move around freely on board the boat. The final leg is the drive from Dover to London Victoria, which takes just under two hours.
So, while the journey is about 10 hours in total, you’re not sitting on the bus the entire time, making it feel much more manageable.
🧒Can Children Use This Journey?
Yes, although I didn’t see any young children on the bus journey. Children aged 0-14 get discounted fares. Pushchairs/Strollers are allowed free of charge providing they can be folded – you just need to inform Flixbus at least 48 hours before if you are bringing one. If your children are good travellers and could cope with an overnight journey then I would go for it
🚢Is The Crossing By Ferry or Le Shuttle?
The crossings are by ferry between Dover and Calais although if there was bad weather etc they could change to using Le Shuttle.
🚐Facilities On Board the Bus
The bus was generally quite comfortable and seats had adjustable backrests, foot rests and seatbelts. Hand luggage can be stored in the overhead compartments.
Buses have free Wifi to use and there are some power outlets to charge phones/laptops etc. There is a toilet on board should you need it plus toilet facilities at the ferry port and on the ferry.
🌜This is an overnight Journey Both Ways
We only took the bus from Disneyland Paris to London and coped with the overnight journey well. While we did try to sleep when we could we were awake pretty much the whole night but not having to go to work or school for a couple of more days this wasn’t an issue as we had time to rest.
Would I take the bus from London Victoria to Disneyland Paris? To be honest, I’m not too keen on the idea, mainly because it’s an overnight service that arrives at Disneyland Paris around 7:30am.

Travelling through the night with little sleep and then jumping straight into the parks isn’t particularly appealing. That said, I might consider it if it meant saving a significant amount of money on the fare.
If I was to take the bus from London to Disneyland Paris then I would do the following:
Take a Hotel Shuttle Bus to my Disney Resort Hotel. Ask them to store your luggage for free until you can check in later. Collect your park tickets and then head back to Disney for 8.30am when you can access the parks in Extra Magic Time. Use this time to do some rides , then have breakfast.
Spend the day in the parks and then around 3pm return to your Hotel to check in and for a few hours rest. Then head back out to the parks in the evening for dinner and possibly the fireworks show depending how tired you are.
What We Loved About The Coach Journey From Disneyland Paris To London
❤️Prices are cheap
💜The journey was overnight so no taking time out of your theme park day by travelling.
❤️Departure time wasn’t until 9.15pm so we had maximum time in the Parks and stayed until around 8pm and got a full day doing the rides and having dinner before we came home. If we were returning by Eurostar or flying then we would have had to leave Disney earlier.
💜Departure point was at Disney and a direct service so no having to change trains in Paris or Lille or getting transfers to the airport.
❤️Luggage was loaded on the bus at Disney and we didn’t see it again until we got to London
💜Travelling on an overnight service meant the roads were clear and virtually no queues at Passport Control. Although this isn’t always guaranteed.
❤️No having to pay extra for luggage
What We Didn’t Love!
To be honest there isn’t many negatives I can find about this journey but if I’m being picky then I would say the following:
❌We did find it cold on board the bus and had our coats draped over us. Next time I think I would bring a blanket.
❌There was a wait at the Paris Bercy stop as a lot of passengers got on. So it took a while to check their tickets and passports and get everyone boarded.
❌Again at the ferry port we had to wait a while for the ferry to dock and unload
❌The length of the journey – while this didn’t bother us as mentioned earlier it really didn’t feel like it was a 10 hour journey if we had taken the Eurostar we would have been home quicker but poorer.
Final Thoughts Of Taking A Bus From London To Disneyland Paris
Would I do this journey again? 100% yes. I found the journey relaxing and the whole ease of taking the bus made the trip completely stress-free and everything felt effortless. I’d absolutely choose taking the Flixbus from Disneyland Paris to London again.
If you are travelling on a budget or looking for an easy way to travel and do not mind an overnight trip then this could be a great option for you, offering a convenient and cost-effective way to get to Disneyland Paris without the hassle of airport or train travel.
