We’ll also highlight the cheapest school holiday dates and show you how to experience special events like Halloween and Christmas without paying the premium prices. Let’s find out the cheapest time to go to Disneyland Paris below👇

Cheapest Month To Go To Disneyland Paris

January is the cheapest month to go to Disneyland Paris. However it’s best to avoid the first week of January as the Christmas Celebrations are still in full swing, schools are still on break and the parks tend to be busy meaning prices remain high. For the 2025-2026, Christmas season ends on 6th January, so plan your trip for after this date to find the best deals.

Disneyland Paris in January (Pros and Cons)

While January is the quietest month to visit with the smallest crowds and significantly shorter wait times for rides—it’s also when hotel and ticket prices are at their lowest. However, there are a few things to bear  in mind before planning your trip.

Weather At Disneyland Paris

The main factor is the weather. January is the coldest month of the year at Disneyland Paris. Sometimes you can even experience frost or snow at this time, however this does not need to be a negative.

Disneyland Paris with a sprinkling of white stuff is magical and makes for some picturesque photos. Just remember to wrap up warm even if it means extra packing of thermals, scarfs hats and gloves. When you’re feeling cold it is a good excuse to dive into a warm and cosy place in the parks and enjoy hot chocolate .

Park Hours Are Shorter

During this time of year, Disneyland Park typically closes around 7pm on weekdays and stays open a bit later on weekends, while Walt Disney Studios Park tends to close earlier. This is quite a change from the summer months, when Disneyland Park remains open until 11 pm.

However, this doesn’t have to be a downside as if you’re visiting with young children, the earlier closing time means they can enjoy the fireworks without having to stay up too late, making the experience more family-friendly.

Disneyland Paris Ride Closures

As January is considered low season Disney do tend to carry out most of their maintenance work at this time. It makes sense to do necessary work when crowds are at their lowest so this impacts less people.

While rides do close throughout the year just expect there might be a few more in January – not always but possibly. Ride closures are usually announced about 2 months ahead. Do not let this spoil your holiday there will still be plenty of rides to do, parades & shows to watch and characters to meet. Plus, you’ll spend less time waiting in queues!

Other Affordable Months To Visit

February to mid-March is also a great time to visit. Prices generally stay lower than most other times of the year, though not quite as low as in January. Be aware that costs tend to increase in mid-February due to the French and UK school holidays, but outside of those dates, you can usually find good deals.

Another budget-friendly period to consider is early November, after the Halloween festivities have ended but before the Christmas celebrations begin.

Cheapest UK School Holiday To Travel

The February half-term week (usually around the 16th of the month) is the most affordable school holiday period to visit Disneyland Paris. It offers the lowest prices of all the UK school breaks, and the parks are generally less crowded. Although French schools are also on holiday, many Parisians choose to spend this time skiing rather than visiting Disneyland Paris.

Below are prices (at the time of writing) of a 2 night/3 day stay at the Hotel Cheyenne for 2 adults and 2 children to compare the different UK school holiday dates:

February Half Term £130 – £170pppn
Easter Holidays £164 – £215pppn
May Half Term £165 – £208pppn
July/August £164 – £179pppn
October Half Term – £164 – £215pppn
Christmas Holidays £205 – £260pppn

As you can see Easter, October (around Halloween) and Christmas are the most expensive weeks. If there is a lot of demand for certain dates then prices will rise. If you are planning on a trip in peak season then book as early as possible to secure the best prices.

Best Days To Go To Disneyland Paris

If you’re looking for the best days to go to Disneyland Paris, aim for Tuesday to Thursday. These midweek days are typically quieter, as most visitors take weekend trips and often extend them by adding a Friday or Monday.

Locals also tend to visit on weekends, leading to larger crowds and higher ticket prices. It’s best to avoid arriving on Fridays and Saturdays, as both hotel rates and park tickets are usually more expensive then.

Events At Disneyland Paris

The two biggest events in the Disneyland Paris calendar are Halloween and Christmas drawing huge crowds wanting to experience the celebrations. During these seasons prices skyrocket and ride queues can feel never-ending. But is it possible to enjoy the celebrations without paying those peak-season prices? Let’s explore how below.

Halloween At Disneyland Paris

Halloween at Disneyland Paris is a fun time of year to visit. With the parks decorated in orange, Halloween parades to see and Disney villains like Captain Hook and Cruella De Vil popping up around the park’s, spooky season is one of the best times to go to Disneyland Paris but also one of the most expensive.

Disney have just released their dates for Halloween in 2026 and the season starts even earlier than this year. With the celebrations starting on the 26th September and finishing on the 1st November you can enjoy the spooky fun for an even longer period.  🎃🎃🎃

So if you are wanting to experience Disney at this time of year can you get a good deal? Yes, if you can avoid the end of October. Basically the closer you are to the big event (31st October) the higher the prices. If you book early enough and can travel around the 26th September and early October then you can still enjoy the Halloween celebrations and not pay the most expensive prices.

Christmas At Disneyland Paris

Christmas at Disneyland Paris is truly magical  but it also brings large crowds and some of the highest prices of the year. If you’d like to experience the festive season without the hefty cost, consider visiting in November. In 2025, the Enchanted Christmas season begins on November 8th. 🎄🎄🎄

As with Halloween, prices rise the closer you get to the main holiday, so the earlier you can go, the better value you’ll find. It’s also best to avoid New Year’s, when the parks are extremely busy and prices reach their peak.

Best Time To Visit Disneyland Paris

The best time to visit Disneyland Paris for me, isn’t always the cheapest time to go to Disneyland Paris. While January is the best month for the lowest prices and shortest wait times for rides, I believe the best time to visit is either early June or Mid September for the following reasons:

  • Good Weather
  • Longer Park Hours
  • No Major School Holidays
  • Parks Are Not Too Crowded
  • Mid-Range Prices

Conclusion – The Cheapest Time To Go To Disneyland Paris

Cheapest Month – January
Shortest Queues – January
Least Busiest Days – Tuesday – Thursdays
Busiest Time of Year – July/August/Halloween/Christmas
